Are you looking to rejoin the workforce?

 

If so, we have designed a program to provide interested candidates with construction industry training and mentorship opportunities.  In this Project Coordinator position, you will support Project Managers and Project Engineers with responsibilities that contribute to successful project delivery.  Interested candidates are expected to be dependable, flexible and adaptable team players, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

 

Program Duration

This is a full-time, 11 week program running from January 6-March 20, 2020.  At the conclusion of the program, regular placement may be available to successful candidates.

 

About the Project Coordinator Position

In this program, you will join a cohort of people looking to rejoin the workforce after taking a break to focus on other areas of their lives.  This 11 week program will be held in Hillsboro, OR and is designed to support candidates who have been out of the workforce for one year or more.  It is a temporary position with potential of a regular job offer.

 

The Project Coordinator position assists and supports the Project Manager and Project Engineers on assigned construction projects.  The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities and gathers and distributes information.  They must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills.

 

Program Details

-January 6, 2020-March 20, 2020.

-40 hours a week Mon-Fri (start and stop times are flexible).

-Supportive community across five companies on one construction project site of similarly experienced professionals.

-Receive construction industry training, a mentor and opportunity to network and attend company events.

-Offers made to successful candidates at the end of the program, if full-time positions are available, however no positions are guaranteed.

-Looking for individuals who have taken time away from their career to support family or personal obligations.

-Our goal is to provide the fundamental tools needed to be successful in your career.

-Drug and background testing required.

 

Things You Can Expect to Do:

-Work with Project Team on construction progress.

-Attend client meetings and interface with design firms and other construction companies.

-Assist in preparation of bid packages and procurement including soliciting, receiving, reviewing, and preparing quotations and change orders.

- Assist in updating schedules based on Project Team input, trade contractor progress, and materials delivery.

 

What We are Looking for:

-College degree or equivalent work experience.

-No construction experience necessary.

-Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.

-Basic math/accounting skills

-Functions effectively as part of a team.

-Dependability.

-Ability to understand and follow directions.

-Good time management and organizational skills.

-Ability to work independently and on cross-functional projects from inception to closeout.

-Detail-oriented; able to prioritize; able to problem solve.

-Self-motivated working on a team.

-Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization.

-Composure, judgement, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills and leadership skills.

-Desire to learn and acquire new skills.
